Two teenagers walked around the grounds of Point Bonita in the Marin Headlands. The two teens were also siblings and close friends who were never far from each other’s side. Since their parents had died nearly a decade ago, they parented and took care of each other. They lived in a small yet comfortable house on Telegraph Hill in San Francisco that their employers had financed. Today the duo were spending a few days in the Headlands helping other schools from around the Bay Area celebrate the coming of spring at the YMCA retreat. The siblings were also in school but in a new, experimental one that was sponsored by the same organization that fed and sheltered them. One of the siblings, a girl named Eleanor, was the first to speak. “Toms, this is going to be fantastic!” she informed him. Zira was defeated and the Outlanders were brought back to the Pride Lands. It was late in the afternoon now, nearly sunset, and Simba stood before the assembled lions of both the Outlands and the Pride Lands atop Pride Rock. Nala, Zazu, Timon, and Pumbaa stood beside him. Behind them stood Kiara and Kovu.
It was time for Simba's speech of hope to the newly-unified lions.
